About Nazareth B.Ed College

The history of Nazareth College of Education for Women began in the year 1976, when Mrs. Chandra David the founder trustee of C & D Educational Trust, started a Nazareth Nursery School. Today, the Nazareth School offers education to more than 7000 students. The C & D Educational Trust has also established Nazareth College of Arts & Science in the year 2000.

The commitment in the field of education continued by establishing Nazareth College of Education for Women in the year 2006. Nazareth College of Education is a secondary teacher training institution, with the objective of training teachers to perform with commitment the noble profession of teaching. The college is affiliated to TamilNadu Teachers Education University and recognized by the NCTE.

Established in the year 2006 by the C & D Educational Trust, Nazareth College of Education is a secondary teacher training institution, with the objective of training teachers to perform with commitment the noble profession of teaching. The college is affiliated to TamilNadu Teachers Education University and recognized by the NCTE. The college is located in a serene place at Kovilpathagai, 3 kilometers from the Avadi Railway station. The institution is also well connected by various bus services. Located in a vast campus with architecturally designed modern buildings also have a beautifully designed chapel.

Eligibility

1. The candidates should have undergone 10+2+3(15) or 10+2+4/5 pattern of study and passed the qualifying examination conducted by the respective State Board or CBSE or any other recognized Board of Education/Examination and UG Degree Examination of the UGC recognized Universities in any one of the school subjects offered by the Directorate of school Education at the Secondary/Higher Secondary education level.

2. The three year Diploma in Engineering shall be treated as equivalent to +2 course for the purpose of eligibility for admission.

3. All the B.E/B.Tech graduates irrespective of their Branch in Engineering/Technology are eligible to study either mathematics or physical science as Pedagogy of School Subject. However the B.E/B.Tech. Graduates in Computer Science related branches and Bio-Technology related branches are also eligible to study Computer Science and Biological Science as Pedagogy of school subject respectively.

4. Candidate, who have passed PG Degree in Commerce.

How to apply?

Application forms can be obtained from the college office on payment of Rs.300/- per form. Those who would like to receive it by post, must send

a) A non-refundable demand draft for Rs.350/- drawn in favour of “Nazareth College of Education “ payable at Avadi. And

b) A Self addressed stamped envelope ( 10” x 4”) to the value of Rs.10/- alongwith a requisition letter addressed to the Principal.
